Vase REI Heroine 32 cm

The Rei vase celebrates irregularity, with a random organic cut paying homage to the noncomformist approach to women's fashion that Japanese fashion designer Rei Kawakubo's brand has continued to promote to this day. In 1969, she founded her label CDG (Comme des Garçons), under which she presented collections of “boyfriend” clothes for women. She was strongly opposed to the baring of the female body, which she considered boring, and instead aimed to create fashion that empowered and celebrated confident and independent women.
