Natural Properties of Glas
Every product in our Rückl glassworks undergoes strict quality control to ensure that only the very best reaches your hands. However, because our glass is crafted entirely by hand, it carries the inherent characteristics of a living material – minor variations or subtle imperfections are not flaws, but organic proof of human labor that makes each piece a unique original. To guarantee the highest aesthetic and functional standards, our quality control follows clearly defined criteria.
Bubbles
iny air bubbles are a natural and common feature of hand-shaped glass. However, each of our products undergoes strict quality control, during which we carefully measure their size, quantity, and placement to ensure the piece meets our aesthetic standards.
Product sizes and deviations
Manual production of glass in wooden forms results in product size variations. We focus on the unification of sizes in drinkware, where the acceptable deviation in size is +/- 1 mm. The thickness of the bottom of drinkware may vary.
Color and Deviation
With respect to the production technique, minor color variations are permissible, as they depend on the supplied raw materials, as well as the thickness of hand-blown glass.
Gilding and Deviations
Gold is applied by hand, using a brush, which may result in a slightly
uneven edge of the glass +/- 0.5 mm, ornaments or other motifs may have slightly uneven edges, as long as it doesn’t disturb the product’s appearance.
Visible design brushstrokes in the painted part of the glass are permissible (desirable).
Wax and Deviations
Ecological soy wax in Rückl candles
is a high-quality product that continues to interact with its environment, possibly causing variations in the color of a part of the wax.
Sandblasting / Laser Cutting of Logos
A logo must have the appropriate shape and location to be visible and legible. A slight smudging due to the curvature of the product acceptable.
Optical Properties and Deviations
A minor optical deviation is acceptable (visible at the distance of a stretched out arm), as long as it doesn’t obscure the edge of the product or disrupt its appearance.
Cut Pattern and Deviations
All products are hand cut and each cutter has their unique style. Thus, a small deviation up to +/- 2 mm is acceptable.
Product Weight and Deviations
With respect to the hand production technique, minor variations in the weight of the product are acceptable.
Claims / Exchange
Products may be claimed / exchanged with a receipt up to 14 days from purchase.
