Beauty in time
The Torso vase embodies the power of time. It draws inspiration from history and age-distorted ancient monuments, where the ravages of time create the perfection from the imperfect. With each scar, buildings and objects can become more beautiful. In the same way, sharp cuts and facets are carved into the glass, leaving behind impressions and records. The vase's clean lines, interrupted by delicate but incisive cuts, symbolise the relationship between humankind and nature, between the ephemeral and the eternal; between what disappears and what remains. Torso is a testimony to the beauty borne of ageing, and of stories etched in time.
