Novelties in Metropolis Collection

The Metropolis collection, inspired by post-war modernist architecture and the rhythm of the city, is now expanding to include three new color variants. These new shades—Aquamarine, Cigar, and Amber—further develop the collection's architectural character, offering fresh interpretations of urban aesthetics in cut crystal.

Monumenta Vase in Aquamarine

The most striking addition to the portfolio, introducing a new signature color to the Rückl range. Its cool, blue-green tone evokes modernist materials and the shifting reflections of city lights. A key source of inspiration was the iconic design of the Prague Metro—a symbol of modern infrastructure and urban motion that perfectly resonates with the architectural spirit of the entire Metropolis collection.

Bruta Vase in Cigar

Its deep, smoky hue recalls the raw materiality of Brutalist architecture—concrete, shadow, and the industrial atmosphere of urban structures

Icona Vase in Amber

This piece introduces a warm, amber tone inspired by the glow of the setting sun reflecting off urban facades and the glass surfaces of modern architecture.

Rückl X CAMP

The new color variants will be presented to the public for the first time on March 30th at CAMP – Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning in Prague, during an evening titled "Glass and Art in Post-War Architecture." The event will bridge the worlds of architecture, art, and contemporary Czech glassmaking, offering a unique perspective on how traditional crystal can enter into a dialogue with modern architecture. Special guests include Vladimir 518 and Kateřina Handlová. Entry is free of charge upon registration.
